Terms of use

Version 1.0, September 2026. These terms apply to the TrackStar DJ software and to trackstardj.com, offered by Brecht Design, Varkensmarkt 16, 4101 CK Culemborg, the Netherlands, Chamber of Commerce 27361372 ("we").

1. The software

TrackStar DJ is a macOS application that analyzes and processes audio files on your computer. The free version processes up to 10 tracks. A license key unlocks unlimited processing for the term you bought (one year, or per month while your subscription runs).

2. License

We grant you a personal, non-transferable license to use TrackStar DJ on Macs you own, up to three at a time. You may not resell, share or publish license keys, reverse-engineer the license mechanism, or use the software to build a competing service.

3. Your music and your responsibility

TrackStar DJ processes music you provide. You are responsible for having the rights to the music you process. The optional download tools (yt-dlp, deemix) are independent open-source projects that you choose to install; we do not distribute them and do not control the services they connect to. Using them to obtain music you do not have the rights to is not permitted.

4. Payment and renewal

Purchases are handled by Paddle.com Market Ltd as merchant of record. Paddle's terms apply to the payment; your invoice comes from Paddle. Yearly licenses do not renew automatically. Monthly subscriptions renew every month until you cancel.

5. Withdrawal and refunds

You can ask for a full refund within 14 days of purchase, no questions asked, by mailing hello@trackstardj.com or through Paddle. See the refund policy.

6. Community

The forum on trackstardj.com is for sharing mixes, techniques and help. Post only content you have the right to share. We may remove content and accounts that break these terms or the law.

7. Warranty and liability

The software is provided as is. We work hard to make it reliable, but we cannot promise it is free of errors, and audio processing can alter files: keep backups of your originals (the app works on copies by default). To the extent permitted by law our liability is limited to the amount you paid in the twelve months before the claim. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.

8. Changes and law

We may update these terms; the version on this page applies. Dutch law applies. Disputes go to the competent court in the Netherlands, unless consumer law gives you another option.
